American 1 Credit Union Steps Up to Fill the Transportation Gap for Two Jackson Nonprofits

The Jackson Area Transportation Authority is proud to announce American 1 Credit Union’s generous donation of 600 bus passes to help Jackson nonprofits Save Our Youth and Young People of Purpose fill their transportation gaps.

“Supporting our community is always a top priority for American 1, and we could not be more excited to help our local youth live a healthy financial future through the donation of JATA bus passes,” said Kelly Grygiel, Vice President of Communications for American 1 Credit Union. “Save Our Youth and Young People of Purpose are wonderful organizations that continue empowering our youth with local programs, resources, and career-ready skills that shape responsible, well-rounded adults. Donating these bus passes will only make these programs more accessible, further supporting the dedication American 1 has to its community.”

Young People of Purpose is a non-profit youth and community organization that empowers youth to succeed through the ABC’S of success Art, Business, Culture and service. It is Based on the book Annie’s Amazing Art Venture by Diane Washington.

Save Our Youth, founded by Thomas Burke, uses innovative educational, physical, and cultural programming and mentoring to maximize the potential of youth, promoting their physical, social, and economic well being.
